A massive thank you to everyone who came out to make our St Patrick’s Day Weekend a huge success, it was serious craic. We hope we turned the great town of Waxhaw into a sea of green. Also, an extra special thank you to all of our staff, because without them, none of it would have been possible.
A great weekends craic and festivities in store for you at Mary’s this St Patrick’s Day. Open from 8am on Saturday for Irish Breakfast and final round of Six Nations Rugby and live GAA. Irish Dancers will be swinging by at 2.30pm and 5pm, with roaming bagpiper and accordion player performing tunes throughout the day. Sunday will be another great day, with Irish Breakfast from 10am, GAA All Ireland Club Finals live from Ireland, and a Ceili outside in the big tent from 1pm with traditional Irish musicians.
The glorious month of March keeps on giving out treats. On Tuesday at Mary’s you can literally (and responsibly) drink your face off with pints of the creamy stuff. Just give the Guinness Host your image from 7pm and they’ll transfer it onto your pint. We’ll be the first bar in North Carolina to showcase this, and it will be a great evenings craic.
Start off the glorious month of March with our Guinness Social on Thursday evening. All Irish pints only $4, some excuse to grease up the elbow. Horse it into ya’ Cynthia.
Our house made Pot Pie is everything you need to get through those Hump Day blues. It comes pipping hot straight from the oven, served with a delicious side salad. Goes down easy with a $5 glass of wine. Go on, treat yourself.
We may need to change the sign, well for a few days anyway.
Another big Scrumdown weekend of sporting action for you to feast your eyes open at Mary’s. Six Nations Rugby along with top quality GAA. Saturday; 9am - France v Scotland (rugby) 11.30am - Wales v England (rugby) 2pm - Dublin v Mayo (Gaelic football) 2pm - Tyrone v Monaghan (Gaelic football) Sunday; 10am - Italy v Ireland (rugby) 12pm - Galway v Clare (hurling)

It’s National Homemade Soup Day, and our soups are fresh made daily. Our Potato and Leek is a delight everyday, with today’s soup of the day being Spinach Tortellini.
A delightful wee change for you on a chilly day. Our grilled pimento cheese sandwich with shredded ham, paired with a cup of house made Tomato and Basil soup.
Six Nations Rugby starts this weekend, we’ll be showing the games live at Mary’s. Stop by for a pint and a bite to eat and enjoy all the hard hitting action. Friday 3pm - France v Wales Saturday 9.15am - Scotland v Italy Saturday 11.45am - Ireland v England
Tomorrow (Sunday 27th) it’s time for the Mary’s staff to let their hair down, have the craic and dance the night away. We will be open for brunch from 10am, with the kitchen closing at 4pm, and the bar shortly after.
A massive thank you to everyone who came out, supported and/or donate for this great cause. We have managed to raise over $10,500 for the St Baldrick’s Foundation. I’m sure there are a few cold (and sore) heads waking up today. And a massive thank you Broome Street Barber Shop for offering up their time and shop to shave everyone’s hair.
